FIA Code of Practice backs REPs
The Fitness Industry Association (FIA) has made Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) registration for all exercise professionals working in health clubs and leisure centres a condition of its code of practice.
The revised code states that any instructor working in an FIA member centre, whether freelance or staff, must have current REPs membership by the end of 2009.
From January 2009 it will be compulsory for all members to be audited against the new code as a standard procedure
