Miss Pole Dance UK 2008

Miss Pole Dance UK was the first definitive nationwide UK Pole Dance Competition and the first event was held in Brighton on 17th May 2005. A huge success on its debut in front of a sell out 700 capacity crowd setting the scene for both its success and other future Miss Pole Dance events worldwide and has set the standard for competitive Pole Dancing & Pole fitness by making it accessible and accepted as a fitness and highly technical dance form open to both amateurs and professional female dancers alike.

Pole Passion have now operated 11 national Miss Pole Dance (UK) competitions attracting world sponsors and national / international media interest as well as top UK pole performers to this competition and created a National Pole Dance Champion every year since, along with creating innovative categories of competition each year to make this available to every women to aspire too.

Miss Pole Dance is currently open to all females both amateurs and professional dancers alike. Operating under strict rules encouraging both the art of pole dancing and the fitness sport element. Miss Pole Dance (UK) 2008 will require the dancer’s individual interpretation to be taken into account with each of the finalists having to demonstrating their athletic strength and flexible ability for this unique sport and dance style. 2007 saw the introduction of new and exciting dance choreography for doubles which allows both amateur and professional partnerships.

Applications forms and Rules and Regulations are available for download on our Competitions Home Page . All entry forms must be returned by the 1st of October along with a signed copy of the rules and regulations, registration fee and a photocopy of your passport.

We accept online auditions through You Tube, Face book or alternatively you can send us a DVD of your performance.  All the criteria stated in the rules and regulations remains for the video clip. Your video clip entry will only be considered on receipt of your application form, registration fee, signed copy of the rules and regulations and a copy of your passport or other official document with photo ID.

Entries will include 3 categories of: Glamour, Fitness and Synchronised Doubles where the dancer’s individual interpretation will be taken into account with each of the finalists having to demonstrate their athletic strength and flexible ability required for this unique sport and dance style. Points awarded are handicapped to give all finalists of each category, glamour and fitness, an equal chance of winning. VIP allows exclusive access to The Glass Bar which is on a mezzanine level overlooking the Main stage and allows excellent view of the dance floor and stage through large glass windows. This bar has low lighting, table seating and carpeted lounging areas giving an intimate atmosphere and access from here to a side balcony overlooking the main room. There will also be burlesque and show performers including Miss Pole Dance competitors within the VIP areas. A glass of Champagne will be available on entry to the VIP area.
