Donna Gant

I started poling for fitness 8 years ago as I wanted to get in shape after having my 2ND child and I haven't look back since. I have worked hard with my business partner Ruth Townsend to set up a successful pole dance school in the centre of Leicester called Pole Position Tuition and have taught at least 10,000 ladies and opened there eyes to another side of pole dancing.
I took part in Miss Pole Dance UK in 2006 in Newquay and was so thrilled to have been a finalist and was placed 5th.
In 2007 I was asked to open the Pole Diva's competition as I have a very different approach to poling and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
2008 was a great year for me as I entered the doubles category for Miss Pole Dance UK Professional in Scala London with my dance partner Kerry Blunt and took home the winning doubles title. I also started to train on the aerial tissues (better known as silks) and I am progressing at a steady pace. Currently we are setting up my first Master Class on spin techniques on the static poles as this is where I am best known, for my unique style. I am thrilled to be invited and to take on the role of a judge this year as this is something I personally have wanted to do since I started competing.
Hi my name is Sarah Hollingsworth aka Sminxie
I trained in ballet, tap and modern/contemporary jazz since the age of 3 and have achieved certificates in all three forms of dance. I have performed in a variety of dance shows and fashion shows in South Wales, UK. Over the years I have learned many styles of dance and excelled in all styles including street dance and hip-hop. I then progressed achieving four years experience in The Performing Arts BTec and HND and a certificate in teaching dance to people over the age of 16 (PGCSE).
I then discovered pole dance four and half years ago. I found that I had a new way to unleash my passion for dance and worked towards training myself in this beautiful & unique art form. I currently teach women and men how to pole dance, chair dance and lap dance in South Wales Valleys and Cardiff and am renowned for my natural flair and dance/performance abilities. I am a highly experienced performer and teacher having had three UK TV appearances.
I have been professionally coached by Pantera (Miss World Pole Dance Champion finalist 2005), Felix Cane (Miss World Pole Dance Champion 2009) and Jamilla Deville (Miss Australia Pole Dance Champion 2005).
I love meeting with my peers and arranged South Wales' first ever official 'pole jam' in 2006. I have recently been asked to do Master Classes in the UK which I will be running from January 2010.
I first entered a pole dance competition - Miss Pole Dance UK 2008 professional category and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I was then invited by the organisers of a UK Pole Performer to be a judge in their competition in 2009
I am absolutely delighted to be asked to Judge The Miss Pole Dance UK – Professional Competition this year. It is a privileged to be part of such a wonderfully organised competition and something I have wanted to do since becoming a competitor.
