About Pole Passion

Pole Passion was founded by Kay Penney in 2003. For over five years, we have been pioneering and working towards professional recognition of pole fitness. Passion Fitness represents our innovative approach to creating fitness classes that are popular and fun. We take inspiration from the sensual movements of exotic dance moves to create fun fitness workouts. With Pole Fitness we have combined these sensual movements in our fitness programmes to provide a total body workout for all women regardless of age, size, or fitness level that builds core strength while increasing flexibility and sexuality in a fun innovative workout designed to empower women to embrace their femininity and sensuality through health and fitness.

When we started our journey, pole dancing was seen as extreme!  ‘pole fitness will never be a recognised form of fitness’ everyone told us, many times! Fast-forward to 2008, and pole fitness is now one of the fastest growing fitness classes in the UK. Now, we need a team of licensees to keep up with demand.

Delivered through a variety of exercise/fitness classes, fun parties, private lessons, master classes, team building events and monthly workshops suitable for all women regardless of their age, shape or fitness levels.

From our humble beginnings in 2003 offering 5 or 6 parties in that year we (in 2007) completed over 150 parties (2000 people) and in 2008 we aim to expand into two new areas in the UK to operate over 300 parties

Pole Passion Fitness

Since 2005 we have been working with top sports and health club consultant Ray Algar of Brighton based Oxygen Consulting to understand the UK health Club industry and the need to offer exciting new group class formats and health clubs are now beginning to see the benefit of these classes

All classes are designed to give the opportunity to learn how to move their body naturally and freely whilst learning empowering fitness routines that promote self esteem. All classes are delivered in a fun, safe and supportive environment where laughter and giggling is encouraged to help create a ‘girls’ night out’ experience with no experience necessary to start.

Instructor Training

We are very proud to have launched our Pole Fitness Instructor Qualifications, level one and level two and unlike any other provider we are offering ongoing training for instructors to allow them to develop their skills and class structure through a unique licensing opportunity.

Health & Safety Our attention to class safety is paramount with all classes are risk assessed prior to each class. Pole Passion has been confirmed as offering safe classes through an assessment of our classes and content resulting in a safety certificate confirming all classes comply with current Health and Safety Standards with regards to Bio Mechanical & Musculo-skeletal Principles from one of the UK’s top accredited osteopath’s Steve Deadman

Hen Parties and Hen Weekends

Exclusive Weekends

Starting out as offering a single night accommodation for hen parties looking for just one night but with Brighton Hotels insisting on two nights minimum we went a few miles down the road and found a hotel who would operate a one night stay and this has proved successful to the point 2008 will see Pole Passion roll our Exclusive Weekends to cater for the full hen party packages and open our market to other hen party requests of new ideas.

With over 18 years experience in the professional beauty business behind us we have chosen only the top and highly rated and award winning products and treatments that is more than just skin deep using Dermalogica products and Jessica Nails offering pampering treatments for Hen Parties.

Miss Pole Dance UK Competition

Miss Pole Dance UK is the only global competitive Pole Dancing Event open to both professional and amateur dancers alike offering categories in Glamour, Fitness and doubles events.

Miss Pole Dance is currently open to all females both amateurs and professional dancers alike. Operating under strict rules encouraging both the art of pole dancing and the fitness sport element. Miss Pole Dance (UK) 2008 will require the dancer’s individual interpretation to be taken into account with each of the finalists having to demonstrating their athletic strength and flexible ability for this unique sport and dance style. 2007 saw the introduction of new and exciting dance choreography for doubles which allows both amateur and professional partnerships.

Entries will include 3 categories of: Glamour, Fitness and Synchronised Doubles where the dancer’s individual interpretation will be taken into account with each of the finalists having to demonstrating their athletic strength and flexible ability required for this unique sport and dance style. Points awarded are handicapped to give all finalists an equal chance of winning.

Pre audition dates will be released soon and be available at various venues across the UK.

UK National Pole Dance Championships

World Pole Dance

A celebration of all styles of Pole Dance Sport and Fitness and Official World Pole Dance Championships

World Pole Dance is a world pole dance finals and a celebration of all styles of Pole Dance, representing sport fitness and demonstrating empowering exercise for all women and is the first event of its kind. Ever! World Pole Dance is the result of over 5 year’s research, innovation and networking through Miss Pole Dance Competitions worldwide.

Miss Pole Dance is now regarded as ‘the’ definitive pole dance competition, where officially recognised competitions follow agreed rules of conduct and share our vision and values with competitions now represented in most countries of the World.

The idyllic resort of Hedonism III in Jamaica will host this World Pole Dance Championship with the very best dancers from all over the world. These dancers will also be offering a week of empowerment and fitness through master classes and lessons for confidence and fitness to guests on resort.

Hedonism III also share our vision of allowing women to explore all their senses in an untamed search for pleasure, confidence and empowerment, allowing us to use their exciting resources to deliver this unique world event.

A World Showcase that will see participation from other Miss Pole Dance competitions from Australia, Japan, USA, Canada, Russia, Europe and UK of course. These events will take place on the beautiful resort of Hedonism III.
