Jennifer Gooch Pole Passion Pole Fitness Trainer

Jennifer Gooch
Advanced Instructor: Level 2 Trainer

I have been pole dancing since 2005 and instructing since 2007. My love of pole started with a pole hen party, where I took to it like a duck to water and just wanted to learn more, and from that first lesson wanted to teach pole!

I am REP’s accredited and hold an Exercise to Music Level 2 qualification, and am a Pole Passion Level 1 and 2 qualified instructor and trainer. I not only teach pole dance for my company South Pole AKademy, but also deliver pole dance instructor training internationally for Pole Passion (www.polepassion.com/fitness/become-instructor) teaching & supporting up and coming pole instructors.

In 2009 myself and my synchronized pole dance (and South Pole AKademy) partner Cat were ranked third in the UK for doubles pole in Miss Pole Dance UK 2009 Championship! Our first ever competition!

I was also asked my Pole Passion to teach for them at the world festival of pole dance in Jamaica, March 2010 - which was an amazing experience! Teaching beginners pole trix lessons, the practical element of the instructor level one certificate and aerobics too (on a beach!)

I have had the privilege of training with some of the worlds best pole dancers and performers including Jenyne Butterfly, Felix Cane, Jamilla Deville to name but a few.

My background has stemmed from many types of dance, performing arts and martial arts, but pole has taken over! I have always been a keen fitness and health enthusiast participating in many types of sport throughout my life, including tennis and aerobics. My background working in Pharmacy has also given me a good grounding in anatomy and physiology and how the body works, and the things that can affect our health and wellbeing.

Teaching pole fitness makes me feel so happy... and so lucky! I can not think of anything better than teaching people and seeing the joy of them achieving 'that move' they have been working on, and seeing them get more confident and fitter. Jenni hopes one day she will be able to give up the day job to do this full time!

I also train in aerial acrobatics (silks, trapeze, hoop and rope), which i feel compliments pole, and my own development and training very well!

I am a member of the Pole Fitness Association 2010
I am a qualified first aider sports specific – Pole Passion
